Have you gotten your Transformers tickets yet? June 24, 2007
Posted by nitestrike in : Crotchety Blogger, Entertainment, Ranting , add a commentI went and got my Transformers tickets earlier this week. And cannot wait to see it! My two biggest concerns thus far are Bumblebee and Megatron. How could they do that, Bumblebee is a Camero, now don’t get me wrong that’s a cool car, BUT HE’S SUPPOSED TO BE A VW BUG… MR. BAY!!! My gripe about Megatron is he’s a futuristic looking jet, what happened to being a gun. Even in the original Transformers Movie they turned Megatron into a different “machine” when they did change him. Enough of the griping. I’m going to go see it and am going to like it. B-) So what is everyone else thoughts on the Movie.

Posted by nitestrike in : Entertainment, Tech , add a commentI had TiVo for several years and would not even take a second thought when suggesting it to anyone. It is simple to use and very intuitive, along with many features current and future that make it a great device to have in the home. PVR Wired has been able to get there hands on the, impending released, TiVo 3. They have been gracious enough to grace us with some photos of the unpacking. TiVo has finally added the ports those ports that will bring into the Twenty-First Century entertainment experience, the most important being Ethernet, HDMI, and CableCard slots.
Here’s everything we know to date about the TiVo Series 3 DVR. Click the link for even more pictures.

Eureka!!! July 29, 2006
Posted by nitestrike in : Entertainment, Review , add a commentEureka (imdb), the new original series from the SciFi channel, is quirky with great dialog and plot potential. I found the show to be very engaging and kept my attention, which does not happen much, usually I work on my computer while I watch TV. It has a cast full of familiar faces to most, yet not easily recognizable, helping draw you into the characters. The character development and introduction have been good, but will hold out on judgment until I have been able to see a few more episodes. The series revolves around the town of Eureka, a quant little town out in the woods, who’s major employer is General Dynamics (GD) a research facilities of sorts. Thus far I have seen the two hour Pilot and Episode 1, and am looking forward to the new episode, Tuesday August 1st. You can catch the full pilot on the web at SciFi Pulse, or the link from the Eureka page.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see Matt Frewer, as Jim Taggart, a “biological containment specialist” Aussie, who has the tools to handle any situation. Frewer, best known for his dual roll in the TV show Max Headroom as Max Headroom and Edison Carter, has also stared in other sci-fi shows including Taken, PSI Factor, and Lawnmower Man 2.
Till Next time.
